Composé de Corina Belcea (violon), Suyeon Kang (violon), Krzysztof Chorzelski (alto) et Antoine Lederlin (violoncelle), le Quatuor Belcea bénéficie d’une solide réputation sur la scène musicale internationale et affiche déjà une discographie impressionnante.  L’éventail de son répertoire embrasse toute la musique écrite pour quatuor de Haydn, Mozart, et Beethoven, jusqu’à Bartok, Janacek, Britten et Szymanowski. En outre, il présente régulièrement au public des œuvres de compositeurs actuels. La présence du Quatuor Belcea au sein de la HEM représente une opportunité unique pour les étudiant-e-s de bénéficier d’une formation pratique et théorique complète dispensé par un ensemble expérimenté connaissant parfaitement toutes les facettes du métier de musicien-ne. Antonello Mazzucco

Professeur de trombone basse

Antonello Mazzucco graduated from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. At the same time, he attended the Konservatorium für Musik in Bern, studying under P. Bucher. In the United States, he studied with C. Vernon, bass trombonist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, A. Jacobs, brass professor, and J. Alessi, principal trombonist with the New York Philharmonic. In Italy, he continued his studies with A. Conti, principal trombonist with the Florentine May, now principal trombonist with the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. For about three years, he played in the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana as a bass trombonist, and for short periods with the Filarmonica della Scala and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. In 1995, he won the competition for tenor trombone and bass trombone with the Rai National Symphony Orchestra, where he still works today. He has been working for over ten years at the Fondazione Fossano Musica, a music institute where he also organises masterclasses with international teachers. He is active in the field of chamber music as a member of the Spilimbrass quintet, with whom he has also recorded a CD.

Loïc Schneider

Loïc Schneider will join the HEM as flute professor for the 2027–2028 academic year An internationally renowned flutist, Loïc Schneider has established himself as one of the most brilliant artists of his generation. Recognised by his peers for his artistic qualities, he has won numerous major competitions, including first prize at the Nicolet Competition in 2006, the Larrieu Competition in 2007 and the prestigious ARD Competition in Munich in 2010 (first prize and audience prize). These distinctions have taken him to the world's greatest concert halls (Bunka Kaikan, Herkulessaal, Bamberg Philharmonie, Lotte Hall, Taipei National Concert Hall, etc.) and fuelled a particularly remarkable career in Asia, where he performs regularly in China, Korea and Taiwan. Trained in France in Strasbourg, his hometown, then in Paris at the CNSMDP, he began his orchestral career at a very young age: at only 22, he was appointed principal flute of the Orchestre National de Lorraine, before joining the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva in 2009 in the same position, under the direction of leading conductors. A sought-after soloist and renowned teacher, he is frequently invited to sit on the jury of major international competitions (Geneva, Nicolet, Cluj). He also gives numerous masterclasses around the world, both in Europe and Asia. Always passionate about passing on his knowledge, he has been teaching for over ten years at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU).

Stefan Prins

Professor of electroacoustic and mixed composition

Stefan Prins will take up his post in September 2026 Stefan Prins (Belgium, 1979) is a composer and performer whose music often includes and reflects on contemporary technologies and new media, thematizing their relationship with the physical, performing body and the environments it inhabits. After graduating as an engineer, he studied piano, composition and music technology at the Conservatories of Flanders (Antwerp), Brussels and The Hague. In 2017 he obtained a PhD in composition at Harvard University under the guidance of Chaya Czernowin and Hans Tutschku. He received many international awards such as the “Kunstpreis Berlin für Musik”, “Kranichsteiner Musikpreis für Komposition” or the “ISCM Young Composers Award”. His music is performed worldwide on festivals such as the Donaueschinger Musiktage, Darmstadt Ferienkurse, Wittener Tage für Neue Musik, Eclat, Warsaw Autumn, Ultraschall Berlin, Wien Modern, Gaudeamus Festival, Tzlil Meudcan, Impuls Festival, Rainy Days Festival, Transit & Ultima Festival. He has collaborated closely with Nadar Ensemble – of which he is artistic co-director, Klangforum Wien, Nikel Ensemble, Ensemble Mosaik, Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Modern, Trio Accanto, Arditti Quartet, MusikFabrik, Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg & BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and soloists such as Yaron Deutsch, Stephane Ginsburgh, Rei Nakamura, Florentin Ginot, Severine Ballon & Ning Yu. His music has been released on the labels Sub Rosa, Kairos, Wergo and Neos. Prins also performs regularly in the improvised music scene (electronics), amongst others with Yaron Deutsch in the Ministry of Bad Decisions. He taught at Academies such as the Darmstadt Summercourses, Impuls Academy or Syntetis Academy, was guest-professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music Oslo & HK Bern and has served as a professor of composition and director of the Hybrid Music Lab at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden from 2020-2026. Talia Or

Talia Or will join the HEM as a singing teacher for the 2027–2028 academic yearTalia Or was born into a family of musicians in Jerusalem and grew up in Germany. She started playing the violin as a child. At the age of ten she appeared on stage of the Stadttheater Aachen for the first time.In 2003 she completed her vocal studies for Lied and Oratorio at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg with honors. She earned her opera diploma in a production of Elisabeth Stöppler. While still a student, she made her stage debut at the Hamburg State Opera.Afterwards she was engaged by the Young Ensemble of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. At the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz she sang as a guest at the same time. Until 2009 she belonged to the ensemble of the house. Here she worked on roles such as Pamina, Anna Reich, Gretel, Lauretta and Rosina.At the Bavarian State Opera she sang Amour /Orphée, the Young Girl/ Moses and Aaron, among others. She received special attention from the critics in 2005 for the role of the Daughter of the Broommaker in Humperdinck's Die Königskinder.Talia Or was lucky enough to work with some major conductors including Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel, Gianandrea Noseda, Kirill Petrenko, Fabio Luisi, Ivor Bolton and Andris Nelsons.Among the stations of her operatic career are Parsifal under Lorin Maazel and directed by Werner Herzog at the Palau de las Artes in Valencia, Così fan tutte at the Hamburg State Opera and at the New National Theater in Tokyo in a new production of Damiano Michieletto.One of her greatest successes came in 2012 as Marzelline/Fidelio at the Teatro Regio Torino under Gianandrea Noseda, for which she received enthusiastic applause and the same critics.  She made her debut at La Scala in Milan in Claus Guth's production of Die Frau ohne Schatten.This was followed by engagements as Rosalinde/Die Fledermaus under Leo Hussain at the Landestheater Salzburg, at the Teatro Municipal Sao Paulo as Tatyana/ Evgeny Onegin, as Gretel/Hänsel und Gretel at the Theatre de La Monnaie in Bruxelles under Lothar Königs, and as Eva in the celebrated Potsdam Winter Opera Il primo omicidio (Scarlatti) with the Potsdam Chamber Academy under the direction of Andrea Moses.Talia Or has also made a name for herself as a song and concert singer. Her varied concert repertoire ranges from Bach, Mozart and Rossini to Offenbach, Schönberg, Poulenc and Richard Strauss. Extraordinary highlights were Mahler's 2nd Symphony under Zubin Mehta with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as Mozart's C minor Mass under Andris Nelsons and the Christmas Oratorio under Peter Schreier in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.Other important engagements have taken her to renowned concert stages such as the Salzburg Festspielhaus, the OSESP São Paolo, the Tel Aviv Philharmonic, the Hamburg Musikhalle and the Munich Gasteig.In addition to the classical repertoire, she interprets with great passion works by contemporary composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina, Fabio Vacchi and Moritz Eggert.Several CD recordings of Talia Or are available. Bach cantatas conducted by Zubin Mehta with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as complete recordings of Sisara and L'Armonia, dedicated to the work of Simon Mayr.
