The cello classes at the Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM) are taught by three professors with very complementary personalities, who have made pedagogy a central pillar of their international careers.
Each year, the cello students are brought together to play together and meet the three professors, at communal Masterclasses. Highly active within the Swiss cello association and present on the international scene, our professors invite some of the greatest masters to give Masterclasses and arrange workshops with outstanding figures from the world of music.
If you would like to add depth to your knowledge and playing of the cello, take a look at the entire repertoire, from baroque to contemporary music, discover improvisation or mixed music, take part in ambitious chamber music or orchestral training projects, get seats in the best boxes at productions, prepare for orchestra contests, have a go at international competitions, and get trained in pedagogy, then join the cello class at the HEM.
You will find a kind of teaching that is 360° open to the world, kind and adapted to suit the personality of each student, with the constant aim of contributing to their flourishing on an artistic and human level. Excellent training that steps up to the challenges of an ever-changing world.
